Thirty years of technological innovation culminates on the crowning achievement of Air Max Day 2017: the Nike Air VaporMax Flyknit. Tinker Hatfield introduced the concept of a visual air unit on the 1987 Air Max 1. The Air VaporMax revolutionizes that idea by incorporating a full-length 360° air unit – a grand advancement for performance running shoes. For a third time, we see Nike drop a Triple Black version of the VaporMax. The first was the COMME des GARÇONS collab. The second was created by NikeLab. And finally this pair, constructed with a lightweight Flyknit upper and accentuated by Anthracite and dark grey speckling. The difference here is the sole unit, which has more of a smoky look than a traditional “Triple Black” one. These styles are supplied by a premium sneaker marketplace. Stocking only the most sought-after footwear, they source and curate some of the most hard to find sneakers from around the world.
